Andrew O'Brien practices in the areas of executive compensation and employee benefits, with an emphasis in representing acquirers, target companies and management teams in complex leveraged-buyout transactions and strategic mergers. Andrew also counsels executives and private and public companies regarding executive employment and separation arrangements and on the design and implementation of executive and employee compensation plans (both cash and equity) and non-qualified retirement programs.
Andrew most recently served as Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer of Human Resources at The Blackstone Group, LP. Prior to that, he spent eight years practicing executive compensation law in New York City, most recently at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where his practice focused primarily on private-equity transactions.
